By james_fudge
Social game giant Zynga has hired yet another brand name game industry veteran: a former hot shot from Westwood Studios. The company announced that it has hired Westwood Studios co-founder Louis Castle to its roster, naming him the new vice president of Studios. Besides founding the studio that many credit with creating the ultra popular Command & Conquer series, Castle has most recently served as a senior advisor to social media firm PremiumFanPage and as the CEO of GarageGames / InstantAction.
Castle joins other notable developers now working at Zynga including Firaxis developer Brian Reynolds, EA LA's Mike Verdu and Ensemble Studios co-founder Bruce Shelley. There sure are a lot of heavyweight real-time strategy game developers in that company now..
