: FinancialCounselMaryland Man Accused of Operating $9.2 Million Ponzi Scheme
By James Eccleston
Larry Michael Parrish of Walkersville, Maryland was recently accused by the SEC of operating a $9.2 million Ponzi scheme that victimized at least 70 investors in three states.
The SEC believes that from November 2005 through October 2009, Parrish and his company IV Capital, induced investors to participate in his ?TradingProgram? which promised returns of 60% per year. The SEC alleged that investors received monthly payments which Parrish told them were ?profits?, when in fact he was paying earlier investors with new investor money in a classic Ponzi scheme manner. Parrish is believed to have misappropriated at least $780,00o for his personal use.
This is not Parrish?s first involvement with the SEC. In 2005, he was named in an SEC action related to his involvement in a Prime Bank scheme.
Eccleston Law represents individual and institutional investors to recover their investment losses caused by securities and investment fraud. Our attorneys also help victims of Ponzi schemes pursue recovery by submitting claims with receiverships established by the SEC or by assisting victims with the filing of a Theft Loss Tax Deduction with the IRS.
If you have lost money investing with Larry Michael Parrish or in IV Capital, or have information about this alleged Ponzi scheme, please contact Jim Eccleston at the Eccleston Law Offices at 312-332-0000.
