: Legal Pad | LACommissioner Tamila Embrahimi Ipema resigns to take San Diego post

Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Tamila Ebrahimi Ipema is resigning to take a similar job at San Diego Superior Court, the Metropolitan News-Enterprise reported.
Ipema, who works in a family law courtroom, didn't comment on why she's moving. MetNews notes that her husband, Henry Ipema Jr., is an immigration judge in San Diego and that she regularly commutes between San Diego and L.A as a result.
She was previously a Superior Court senior research attorney and her name was sent to the State Bar Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation as a possible appointee to the court for the past two years.
