Darren Tufts case shows that KingCast schooled NH AG Kelly Ayotte on homicide investigations: Wait for ballistics results.

By Christopher King

Dear Kelly:

The next time you want to snow the public on a controversial shooting, wait for the ballistics to come in, and don't lie about not having fingerprint evidence as you claimed in the Franconia case. Look at the unanswered questions using your own photos. Not to mention your own ballistics reports, produced 5 weeks after your decision.

Now then, today's Caledonian Record reports:

Both Orange County State's Attorney William Porter and Attorney General William Sorrell conducted investigations. Results were delayed in part due to having to wait for ballistics test results, Assistant Attorney General Cindy Maguire said.

The Darren Tufts shooting is particularly troubling because the rifle he was holding and the handgun near him were unloaded. It is difficult to imagine a scenario in which he thought he could get them loaded and shoot any LE at the scene of his death, where they shot him ten (10) times.

But the state, by and through you, Attorney Ayotte, cleared the LE involved, per usual. Just as you never punished the Nashua PD in the Paulhus case who violated Miranda and impersonated people from the AG's office, as found by the reviewing Court. Read the Telegraph story. Just as you never conducted any review of the Bruce McKay traffic stop on Liko Kenney even though litigation showed he violated at least eight (8) pursuit and OC Spray policies before Liko Kenney shot him. I can't wait to see how you address the cop-shoot-cop problem at the Concord Credit Union.

Regardless of the outcome of that case, it's time for you, Attorney Ayotte, to step down. Your steadfast refusal to investigate the Franconia shooting tragedy is reason enough. I relish the opportunity to put these facts before the U.S. House after I review the Paulhus file. I also look forward to litigating 08-E-192 against you and the other defendants, as your position is that the public is not entitled to know if Bruce McKay ever fired his gun or if Gregory W. Floyd lied about how he shot Liko Kenney. As a former AAG, I can safely say that your actions, particularly in the Bruce McKay/Liko Kenney Franconia tragedy, besmirch the legal community at large and the position of AG in the specific.

Bonus for you haters:
Former AAG Harold Burbank concurs, and he is most definitely not suspended. What he is, however, is a veteran AAG and candidate for U.S. House, D-5 Conn. And as the comments prove, Kelly Ayotte lied to him.
