Blog of the Week(end):

By Anne Skove, Esq.

ADVERTISEMENTS

Who the heck is Murray Meyer, Esquire?

That's OK, we didn't know either until we received this spam, we mean invitation, to his comedy act in *Los Angeles* California!

The show is It's Criminal! Getting People Off and Other Legal Fantasies. It takes place at the M Bar on the other Vine Street (the one in Hollywood, not the one down the hill from our house). Dates/times are Tuesday, October 7, at 8 pm and Sunday, November 16, at 7 pm (evidently Californians go out on weeknights!). No cover, but there is a mandatory minimum of $10 food.

Regrettably, we cannot attend. Not only is it on a school night, we are on the other side of the country. But anyone who does go, write us a review.

The blog (there's always a blog, kid!) is of the same name, how handy. There you can gaze into the mind of Mr. Meyer, who has worked as a criminal defense lawyer for 21 years.

Photos, OJ, Ito (Judge not Robert), and bar-side trial news pepper the fun and brief (the way blogs should be, mostly!) posts. We've never been to L.A. (can you tell?) and frequently mistake it for the post office abbreviation of Louisiana, but we suspect this is as good a take on celebrity justice as you'll read anywhere.
