"Seymour Lazar, the Palm Springs, Calif., lawyer who was indicted in 2005 in the Milberg Weiss probe, has been sentenced to two years' probation that includes six months of home detention. Lazar, who served as a lead plaintiff in several Milberg Weiss cases from 1976 to 2004, pleaded guilty in October to charges of filing false tax returns, obstruction of justice and false statements."
"A federal judge in the illegal wiretapping case against celebrity sleuth Anthony Pellicano refused to delay the Feb. 27 trial on Monday after Terry Christensen, the only lawyer indicted in the case, argued, among other things, that his lead counsel has a timing issue with another case."

Lerach in the Milberg Weiss case are contesting a pre-sentencing report's recommendation that he serve 15 months in prison and are seeking 24 months instead, according to court papers filed on Monday by the government."
