CHARLIE'S MEMORIAL SET FOR OCTOBER 31ST

Raag Singhal wrote on Monday, October 20th:Judge Charlie Kaplan was laid to rest yesterday, October 19, 2008 in Paramus, New Jersey after a beautiful ceremony at Eden Memorial Chapels in Fort Lee, New Jersey.  The service and burial were attended by more than 300 people from across the country.  In addition to Charlie's relatives, Broward attendees included Maritza Adams, Sandra Perlman, Michael Tenzer and Raag Singhal. Charlie grew up in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and two of his longtime childhood friends, Doug Wettig and Richard Pessin spoke about their memories.  Charlie's high school classmate Brooke Shields dedicated an award from his high school to him.  Beautiful remarks prepared by others and especially by his Judicial Assistant, Kelly Goins, were read to those who attended...continue to full post
