Protecting Student Whistleblowers

The parents of the young man whose arm was burned by John Freshwater have started an organization to advocate for laws to protect the identity of students who blow the whistle on bad behavior by their teachers. They say:

We protect students by advocating for safe learning environments where everyone - students and teachers alike - are required to follow the rules. We will work for better training and improved legal protections for students who report wrongdoing.

To protect children and families, we'll work to change the law so that a family can remain anonymous during an administrative hearing process without violating a teacher or staff member's due process rights.
