Barack Hussein Obama: President Of The United States

Pennsylvania has been called by MSNBC for Obama. So I'm going to say it. Retaining all the 2004 Kerry states, and picking up (at least) Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico, Barack Hussein Obama becomes the next president of the United States.

There's a new sheriff in town. And he's Destry.

Update: Dole trounced in NC Senate race. Dems up 1.

Update II: With 42% of the vote counted, Obama up 51-48% in Florida. With 51% of the vote counted, Obama down 52-47% in Virginia. Virginia results reflect lagging urban (Democratic) precincts; Florida results reflect lagging rural (Republican) precincts.

Update III: Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin--all competitive in 2004--flow immediately to Obama.

Update IV: ABC calls Ohio for Obama. It is OVER. In 1988, I waited three hours in line to vote for Michael Dukakis, knowing he had lost to George W. Bush. At the present moment, twenty years later, I am off to quickly vote for Barack Obama, knowing he has already won. How sweet it is.

Update VII: per possum, South Dakota and Colorado both?reject nonsense from the fetus-fondlers. Cross your fingers for Californians, hoping they have enough empathy and sense to honor our Pico's marriage.

Update VIII: Chris Shays is gone. All House representatives in all the New England states are now Dems.

Update IX: Florida with 80% reporting, Obama 51-49. Virginia with 91% reporting, Obama 51-49.

Update X: per possum, marijuana possession decriminalized in Massachusetts; medical marijuana approved in Michigan. Now. Onwards to medical opium. ; )
