LABARGA GETS THE NOD

Having apparently distinguished himself by virtue of his tenure on the 4th DCA (about a month) Jorge Labarga is your new Florida Supreme Court Justice.  The title of the post links to the Florida AP bulletin. Careful readers will remember that the Governor just appointed Labarga, a Palm Beach circuit court judge labouring in anonymity but for his run in with attorney Gary Kollin,  (click here for our post "4th DCA Brouhaha")      (you'll have to scroll down for complicated reasons)  to  the 4th DCA, when the Governor decided to continue his fight with the JNC by asking for more (read Hispanic) names when he didn't like the list submitted for the Florida Supreme Court. (Our own Judge Emas was the best choice by far.)  Now Governor Crist has finished the rapid rise of Judge Labarga by appointing him to the Florida Supreme Court, and in return, Crist will get the originals and the  negatives of the pictures Labarga apparently has...continue to full post
