March of the Blogs - Chuck Newton Rides the Third Wave

By Robert Kraft

ADVERTISEMENTS

For the month of March, I am going to highlight blogs that I think are interesting and useful. Some may not be directly related to personal injury or Social Security disability law, but all of us who represent injured and disabled people occasionally need help in other areas. A few have been featured here before, but they keep getting better. Today's entry in March of the Blogs:

I assume Houston attorney Chuck Newton occasionally does actual legal work, but it seems he must spend most of his time writing for his Stay Violations blog. Chuck has a niche practice in the area of stay violations of the bankruptcy laws. He is perhaps more famous though for his Third Wave theory of the practice of law, which, simply stated, involves working from a home office and using technology to maximize efficiency.

I enjoy reading Chuck's blog partly for his legal insight, partly for his technology insight, partly because we share some political and social preferences, but mostly because of his sense of humor. Do take a look at his blog. Here's a bit about Chuck, in his own words:

My Personal Interest And Intrigues

My personal interests and intrigues lie in blogging (communicating with the World); figuring out how to run a virtual law firm without any visible facilities; I am a movies buff; I love old TV shows and murder mysteries; I listening to the old crooners using Internet radio; I know it is not good and sets a bad example, but I sneaking outside food and beverages into the movie theater; and, I apparently live to earn and pay college tuition for my wonderful children. (Yes, I suffer from mal-tuition). Oh, and speaking about the good things in life, don't forget about Tex-Mex, good hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, chili, BBQ, tomato soup with lots of crackers, ice cream and yellow cake with chocolate icing, just to name a few. Man-oh-man, I love that stuff (a little too much).
