: [ Useless Dicta ]Elevator Etiquette
This morning, two completely obnoxious 1Ls who were gabbing and giggling at a volume unacceptable that early in the morning ran to catch the elevator I had hopped on and popped right in as the door was closing. This didn?t annoy me because I get annoyed when I just barely miss an elevator. However, when they got into the elevator they proceeded to talk at a totally unacceptable volume about the killer frat party they attended last night. Then one of them decided she needed to get off at floor 3 so she quickly pushed that button. Again, not annoyed by the extra stop- it?s to be expected when riding elevators and it?s a delay that isn?t even worth being upset about. But what wasn?t cool was that when the elevator stopped at the 3rd floor, the other girl was not getting off there but she wasn?t done with their ?OMG HE DID NOT? conversation. So the girl getting off at floor 3 proceeded to stand in the middle of the door to keep it from closing so they could finish their conversation FOR ANOTHER 2.5 MINUTES! The elevator started buzzing because of the holdup. I got fed up and decided to just get off at 3 and take the stairs up to 4 and as I was exiting the elevator the girl blocking the door was like ?oh- apparently you?re in a hurry.?
Note to bimbo 1L: no honey I wasn?t in a hurry, I was barely awake because I had only gotten about 1/8 into my morning latte. But I also have better things to do than to stand, trapped in an elevator, while you and your other bimbo friend recap every keg stand, every beer pong point, and every stolen glance at Mr. Hot Bimbo Sophomore Frat Boy.
Some people are so delusional.
