However entertaining your interview with Jane Wells might have been for the two of you, we're aghast here in Greenwich.

Monica has never been so humiliated in her life, and our girls are now being accosted on Greenwich Avenue. While your lovely wife is protecting herself under Florida Homestead rules, it will be impossible for us to dine at The Homestead in Greenwich any time soon. This is terribly disconcerting to Monica, especially considering the party we planned to host tomorrow evening.

Yes, we made tens of millions of dollars in fees courtesy of directing money to your management. OK, hundreds of millions of dollars. But, had I any idea whatsoever that you were anything other than a Midas, we never would have created Madoff-centric special purpose vehicles and brought them into South American and European enclaves. These are people that still believe in duels at sunrise.

Unlike you and your wife, we actually socialize and eat with these people. Even if shitting where you eat might be considered by some to be inappropriate.

Fortunately for us, the asset freeze imposed by the local court in Connecticut yesterday has no legal precedent, and we have every expectation that the ruling will be overruled.

With respect to the complaint filed this morning by Mr. Galvin, he has taken it upon himself to put himself on a pedestal and has taken everything out of context. That will be borne out soon enough. As far as comments expressed by that scallywag Larry Kudlow from CNBC, it is obvious that he still suffers from a substance abuse problem.

In the interim, we will be returning to our home in Mustique and sipping chilled wine, and lounging by the dock, while our attorneys work through this debacle.

Speaking of docks, it has just been brought to my attention that your boat in Ft. Lauderdale has just been boarded by US Marshalls. I trust you were smart enough to have moved the tackle box.
