Texas is scheduled to carry out its 15th execution of 2009, tonight in Huntsville.  It would be the state's 438th execution since 1982; the 199th execution under the administration of Governor Rick Perry.  Texas has far and away the most active death chamber in America, accounting for more than 37% of the nation's executions.  AP has this report on the scheduled execution of  Michael Riley via the Houston Chronicle.?It was all my doing,? he said of the killing. ?It was something that shouldn?t have happened. I can?t get it out of my head.? He turned himself in to the sheriff?s office a few hours after the murder after learning authorities were looking for him.
