Selena Roberts appears have concluded her appearances to promote her new book on A-Rod. The interviews doubled as a National Mendacity Tour regarding Roberts? writings on the lacrosse case. As the Mendacity Tour comes to a close, I thought it would be useful to compile the range of Roberts? distorted, misleading, and outright false statements about her work on the lacrosse case. A note: Selena Roberts penned a book whose key assertions rested almost entirely on anonymous sources. Evaluating that book, therefore, requires evaluating Roberts? journalistic record?chiefly whether she had, in past instances, (a) invented evidence; or (b) excluded evidence that didn?t fit her preconceived thesis.
