Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has announced that she is filing a motion on Friday, asking a judge to address possible probation violations by Kilpatrick, who last month paid only $2,500 of his court-ordered $6,000 monthly payments toward the restitution".

Belt-tightening crimps court services in California

"In the latest sign that California's worsening budget crisis is hitting the state's legal system, the Ventura County Superior Court has announced that its clerk's offices will close for one hour early every day beginning on July 1. The Los Angeles Superior Court recently announced that employees would be furloughed on the third Wednesday of each month beginning on July 15."
