Last year, lawyer Michael Arrington, the founder and co-editor of TechCrunch, blogged about his frustration over the lack of a "dead simple and dirt cheap touch screen web tablet to surf the web." If no one else was going to build such a device, he declared, he would -- with a little help from his friends and readers. And that is precisely what he did. This week, Arrington announced that the first working prototype will be ready within a few weeks. He also published conceptual drawings of the device, which he calls the Crunchpad.
