This patent from 3M teaches another variation of a nanoparticle brightness enhancing film to improve the appearance and efficiency of digital displays. Claim 1 reads:
1. A brightness enhancing film comprising the reaction production of a polymerizable resin composition including inorganic nanoparticles surface modified with a surface treatment comprising a monocarboxylic acid having a refractive index of at least 1.50.
