On the Agenda

Leading up to the July 4th District work week the Democrat majority has an ambitious agenda. Two major spending bills are on the floor this week, Homeland Security Appropriations (H.R. 2892) and Interior, Environment and Related Agencies (H.R. 2996). The House will also consider this year’s Defense Authorization (H.R. 2647). Mike has two amendments he is offering to the bill. The first would prevent the release of the terrorists detainee photos and the second would allow the Defense Department to purchase petroleum products.
The House is also planned to consider the Democrats Climate Change-Cap and Tax Energy Bill (H.R. 2454). Mike also plans to offer amendments to this legislation to lessen the impact on Rural America and the average consumer. As more information becomes available we will keep you informed.
