COSTA RICA Day 4 . . . Another day at Volcán Arenal. In the morning, we went on a guided hike through the rainforest at the Arenal Observatory Lodge. In the afternoon, we ziplined at the Arenal Ecoglide Canopy Tour.

Here's a toucan we saw in the trees (photo taken through the guide's spotting scope)--

Here's Austin on the zipline canopy tour. At this point, we're very high in the air, standing on a platform that's attached to the trunk of a tree. From here, we ziplined to the next platform, and then did that again until we were down the mountain. Fourteen platforms in all--

The canopy tour also included a "Tarzan Swing." Here's a video of Austin jumping off the platform--

At the end of the day, we returned to a waterfall we'd seen earlier so that Austin could do some drawing--
