I Am Moloch! Tremble Before Me!

Finally, recognizing ?the government generally need not subsidize the exercise of constitutional rights,? Moloch argues that universities may require student organizations to admit those who disagree as a condition of receiving benefits.

The citations are to my Freedom of Expressive Association and Government Subsidies, 58 Stan. L. Rev. 1919 (2006) ? but not, I think, because my arguments are seen as tantamount to demands for ?the propitiatory sacrifice of children by their own parents,? as calls for ?appalling sacrifice,? or as the work of a literal or figurative ?spiny ... lizard.? Rather, it seems to be an artifact of something I noticed some years ago: The Word spell-checker proposes that Volokh be changed to Moloch.
