By pete_gallagher
Educational videogame developer Tabula Digital has scored a pilot test of its DimensionM software in seven middle and high schools in West Virginia.
The testing runs through January of 2011 and will see 1,000 students get hands-on time with the title, which is designed to assist math proficiency. The software was selected for the trial by West Virginia's Blue Ribbon Mathematics Partnership Committee, who discovered it through the Center for the Advancement of STEM Education's endorsement of the product.
Blue Ribbon Coordinator and West Virginia University Professor Dr. Laura Pyzdrowski stated, 'We are excited to observe how our students and teachers will embrace this supplemental game-based technology and anticipate an impact on motivation, engagement, and student achievement.'
