What's going on at the satellites? - lots of time a whole lot of nothing, as far as we can tell.  Tuesday morning featured a rare first stop at the North Satellite Courthouse, for an 8:30 hearing.  A circuit trial call in Central at 9:00 followed, and a couple of 10:00s in Hollywood after that.  No problem, except the North judge apparently always strolls out at 9:00 (according to court personnel), after everyone else sits around waiting.  After a bit of a rant that got back to chambers, the judge did make an accommodating gesture, appearing at 8:50, but the damage was already done.  The rest of the morning resembled something out of The Cannonball Run.  We didn't even have time for an official North Satellite JAABWALK, which we're sure wouldn't have garnered more than two courtrooms in use (apparently the parking ticket business is way down)...continue to full post
