This patent teaches iron particles encapsulated in carbon nanotubes forming an ultrahigh resolution magnetic storage device. Claim 1 reads:
1. A magnetic storage medium, comprising: a substrate; and a data layer on top of said substrate, said data layer comprising: a plurality of magnetic nanoparticles contained within a carbon nanotube; and a plurality of said carbon nanotubes encapsulated in a matrix.
