Lawyers? Site Offers to Fix Your Traffic Ticket

Given that it was announced April 8, not April 1, this appears not to be an April Fool’s hoax, even though it might sound like one.

A Texas law firm has launched a site that offers to fix your traffic ticket for just $45 in lawyer fees. The site, texasticketfix.com, describes itself as “the easiest way to hire a lawyer to handle your traffic ticket.” All a traffic scofflaw need do is enter the ticket number and pay the amount of the fine plus the $45 legal fee. Then, the site explains, “a Brylak Law attorney will obtain a deferred disposition for your ticket. Your ticket will be dismissed and will not appear on your driving record.”

The site, which works only for traffic tickets issued by the city of San Antonio, is the creation of the personal injury firm Brylak Law. Have a ticket from somewhere other than San Antonio? The Brylak lawyers will help will that, too, but you’ll have to make those arrangements with them by phone.
