Es gibt im Moment auf Infobib eine heftige Diskussion um das Thema “bibliothekarische Fachkommunikation“. Ich hatte auf dem BibCamp eine Session mit diesem Thema besucht und dort die Meinung vertreten, dass wir die “offline-KollegInnen” – von denen es eine ganz Menge gibt – wahrscheinlich besser mit irgend etwas Gedrucktem erreichen. Wenn ich z.B. den ZKBW-Dialog ausdrucke und in den Umlauf gebe, kommen durchaus Reaktionen

Heinz Pampel brachte in dem Zusammenhang das Thema Liquid Journal zur Sprache. Das System sieht ziemlich spannend aus, hat allerdings auch einen entscheidenden Nachteil: jemand muss sich darum kümmern…

The liquid journals provide ?interesting? content, in the form of ?scientific contributions? that are ?related? to a certain paper, topic, or area, and that are posted (on their web site, repositories, traditional journals) by ?inspiring? researchers. As such, the liquid journal separates the notion of ?publishing? (which can be achieved by just posting content on the Web) from the appearance of contributions into the journals, which are essentially collections of content.
