American Idol Finale: Live Thread

No spoilers on the winner in comments, please. The American Idol finale is just beginning here.

Crystal or Lee? I'm rooting for Crystal and I think she will win. It's also Simon Cowell's last night, I for one will miss him.

This is an American Idol live thread -- I hope I'm not the only one here who's watching.

Update 7:06: Whoever designed those plaid outfits should be fired. Alice Cooper is the first performer. He's hardly aged. I feel like I'm back in Ann Arbor in 1973. [More...] 7:14pm: I still don't know how Kris Allen won over Adam Lambert. Or why Adam's performance tonight got canceled.

7:55pm: Alanis Morrissette has woken me up. She's great. I hope she's back on the new season of Weeds. As good as Crystal is, Alanis really outshines her.

8:07 pm: Wow! And I don't say that often -- Bret Michaels is on stage singing with Casey James, Bret looks and sounds fabulous. Amazing, just weeks after a brain hemorrhage. This made my night-- so far.

8:16 pm: Worst segment so far: Lee's Chicago songs. I don't who is worse -- him or the band or the other singers. They are all off-tune and cheesy. Yuck!
