: The Volokh ConspiracyTip for Using Google Scholar to Find Court Opinions
By Eugene Volokh
I?ve on occasion been using Google Scholar to find court opinions, and have been a bit annoyed that the default is to search articles and not court opinions. Switching to court opinions is only one click, but I?m lazy, plus sometimes I forget that click and get the wrong result.
Then I decided to check out the Scholar Preferences link, and saw that I could change the default to ?Search legal opinions and journals,? under the ?Collections? category (of course, also clicking on ?Save Preferences?). Woohoo! I guess I should have looked into this sooner; but on the theory that if I just learned something, some number of people likely haven?t learned it yet (just as some number have learned it before me), I thought I?d let our readers know about this.
