A PUBLIC APOLOGY ...

To ASA Spencer Multack, from JAABLOG. Our take on the Griss trial ("Surprise, Surprise") has ruffled some feathers.  Not that we care about ruffled feathers, but we do care when a post can be read as impugning an innocent bystander.  The fact is that Spencer did an amazing job prosecuting Griss, and that the Reckless Driving verdict was not his fault.  The issue was brought to the forefront by none other than Attorney Mike Dutko, Multack's adversary in Griss.  He sent this strongly worded letter, taking us to task for "suggest(ing) that somehow Assistant State Attorney Spencer Multack dropped the ball".    Of course, that was never our intention.  Our beef is with the "leadership" of the SAO.  Always has been, and always will.  The response letter to Dutko hopefully makes the point painfully clear, and clarifies our position on Griss...continue to full post
