As the new school year approaches many student organizations are making early plans for events and programming. No one wants to re-invent the wheel. Courtesy of the stellar leadership at Seton Hall Women's Law Forum, here is an example of one year's worth of events:

New Student Orientation
August 2010
? Budget: $35
? Attended by: 1L class
? Hand out: information sheet including information and events.

Wine and Cheese Reception
Sept 3, 2010 at 5pm
? Budget: menu, drinks, tables, linens (cost $500 in 2008 for 35 people)
? All alcohol events require an "alcohol sponsor"

2010 Komen New York City Race for the Cure®
September 2010
? Budget: $0
? Use advertising packet to spread word in school

Bake Sale
September 2010 in Atrium

2010 Lee National Denim Day®
October 4, 2010 in the Atrium
? Budget: $30 (Raised $215 in 2009)
? Hand out: ribbons and safety pins
? Outreach: Email faculty ahead of time! Table sitting on Thursday and Friday beforehand.
? Wear denim on October 4, 2010, in exchange for a $5 donation to the Women?s Cancer Programs of EIF to support the fight against breast cancer.

Civility Matters
October 18, 2010 at 4pm, Reception to follow
? Budget: $1500 for 60 people in 2009 ($1200 for food)
?"Join us for a mixed presentation of an American Board of Trial Advocates DVD program and panel of judges and attorneys moderated by Brian Steller, partner at Connell Foley. Co- sponsored by ADR, Litigation Society, Muslim Law Student Association, Women's Law Forum and IALSA.
