: Practical ParalegalismNovel Job Search Approach: Giant Billboards
By Lynne DeVenny
But WXIA-TV is reporting that paralegal Lorraine Ankarstran, out of work for three months, has hired space for a month on four giant billboards located on major thoroughfares in Atlanta, Georgia. Her ads include her picture and her e-mail address, and "run 10 seconds out of every minute 24 hours a day." She told CBS Atlanta:
?I wanted to think outside the box. So I decided to rent some ad space on some billboards around town. There is so much unemployment now and even in my field
there are a lot of people not working and people coming out of school. I wanted to stand out.?
There's no question she's standing out, with many local media outlets picking up the story. Practical Paralegalism wishes Ankarstran the best of success in her job search - and would love to talk to her about using LinkedIn and Twitter, too.
Have any readers seen the billboards? What do you think?
