Krome, Emergent Team Up for Tech

By james_fudge

ADVERTISEMENTS

Emergent Technologies and Australian game development studio Krome are in a pact to create new technology for games. In addition to creating this new technology, the duo will build a number of games together. Emergent secures licensing rights to this future game engine.

Emergent is the creator of the popular Gamebryo and Gamebryo LightSpeed development tools. Despite a spat of layoffs, Krome Studios remains Australia's largest developer. Krome worked on Game Room for Microsoft's Xbox Live. It is currently in production on Blade Kitten for PC, PSN, and XBLA.
