Funny but very, very sad

I love a good laugh, and a recent obituary for Donald Unsworth is pretty funny. But it is also very sad. Not just that he died, but that he cared so much about politics that his dying thoughts turned to our president and his policies. I love our country and care deeply about its future, but I can’t imagine thinking that giving money to Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, or anyone else running against the president in 2012 is money as well spent as his other donation of choice: funding cancer research. If we need any evidence that politics is playing too large a role in our lives today, one need look no further than poor Mr. Unsworth.
