Realtime Worlds Administrator: Get your APB Refunds from Retailers

By james_fudge

ADVERTISEMENTS

Consumers that paid for APB at retail seeking a refund are not happy campers today. The administrator handling the assets of the Realtime Worlds is telling consumers that they need to go to the place where they bought the game if they want to get a refund.

Anyone that has bought a game in the last five years knows that getting a refund on an opened PC game from a retailer is nearly impossible unless there's some technical issues. Does APB being completely unplayable within a 30-day window count as a technical issue? Those that want to play the game and cannot - and have bought the game in the last 30 days - would argue that it is.

"Customers should revert to the entity from which they bought the game in respect of their entitlement to any refund," Realtime Worlds administrator Begbies Traynor told Develop.

Traynor does not address a remedy for consumers that bought extra game time or other digital extras in-game. One would assume that Realtime Worlds is still responsible for those transactions.
