By Leah Nylen
Colorado U.S. Attorney John Walsh said he will ensure that all parts of the state receive adequate attention and resources won’t just stay in Denver, the Pueblo Chieftain reported.
“It’s something I care very much about. This is the (federal judicial) District of Colorado, not the District of Metropolitan Denver,” Walsh said in an interview with the Southern Colorado newspaper. “I’m going to make sure that our efforts are around (the entire) state and I’m going to be around the state.”
Walsh, a former partner at Hill & Robbins PC, took over the U.S. Attorney’s office in August. He also plans to concentrate on terrorism and national security, financial fraud and targeting gangs and drug trafficking.
“This is probably the best job I’ll ever have,” Walsh said of being U.S. Attorney. “I see it as a real duty.”
