OH: Lake Local appoints legal counsel over values statement

CantonRep.com: "Appointed legal counsel to represent the district in the dispute over the district?s values statement. The Freedom From Religion Foundation has threatened to sue the district for valuing a 'belief in God' in the statement. The board removed the phrase last December and has tabled approval of the strategic plan, including the values statement, this year. The legal counsel appointed by the board includes Jon Troyer, Thomas Connors and the Alliance Defense Fund."
