: GamePolitics.comReport: 350 Million Web-Enabled Devices by 2015

According to new research from Park Associates, nearly 350 million Web-enabled TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles and other devices will be sold worldwide by 2015. That number is four times the number of devices sold last year, the research firm says.
"Content options are finally catching up to the hardware innovations, and growing libraries of on-demand movies and TV available are starting to unlock the potential of connected TV devices as multifunction online entertainment and communications platforms," said Kurt Scherf, vice president of Park Associates.
Park released the report to coincide with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. The report shows a demand for content other than just television and movies - such as apps and games. Read More
