'Counterfeit' Lugaru Game Cut From App Store

The makers of the indie game Lugaru HD are happy to report that a "counterfeit" (their words, not ours) Lugaru game has finally been removed from Apple's App Store. You may remember that last week Wolfire took to its blog to complain about a game called "Lugaru" showing up in searches next to its game on Spple's App Store.

The "developers" (listed as "iCoder" / "Michael Latour") had used source released under a GPL 2.0 license. When asked by Kotaku last week, they said the license gave them the right to sell the game, but they were sadly mistaken (see this story for details on that). Read More
