: Arizona Bankruptcy Attorney BlogFull Disclosure Is Fine in Bankruptcy Court; But Spokeo.com?
By Joseph McDaniel, Esq.
But I've written and videoed about that topic previously (the video is one of my very first, and the technical quality of the video is awful, but I stand by the information!).
On the other hand, I'm not sure that it's a good idea for some website out there (that you never hired) to blab all of your personal information on the Internet for every bad guy computer criminal to find.
But even though you never asked for it, a website called Spokeo.com is, as we speak here, shoving all of your personal information endlessly out into cyberspace.
If I were you, I would seriously consider going to that site and "opting out", so that your hated former mother-in-law can't sneer about your income or your second wife and your third wife at next Thanksgiving Dinner with the kids. And so Vlad in Vladivostok can't use all of your personal information to swipe your identity. Because identity theft is less fun than it sounds.
Just a thought.
p.s. on the other hand, if you have a small business and you previously filed a bankruptcy in AZ, or anyplace else, and you want to make it easier for clients to find your goods or services, there's a cool, nifty website called about.me which permits you to control the information that people find about you. And it's free, which is My Favorite Price.
Putting it another way, Spokeo.com is sort of the evil twin of about.me!
