55 APPLICANTS FOR GOLDSTEIN'S SEAT

 Richard ZadenAttached is the list of applicants for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court Seat to be vacated by the retirement of The Honorable Barry Goldstein.  We'll meet for a first round of pre-interview deliberations on March 25, 2008. Interviewees will be determined then.  Interviews are likely to be on April 8, 2008.I invite anyone to direct comments on the applicants to my attention -  or to any of the other Judicial Nominating Commissioners for the Seventeenth Circuit.  The other Commissioners are Tim Bailey, Gina Pozzuoli, Michael Marcil, Clarence McKee, Walter Morgan, John Pisula, Jamie Finizio-Bascombe, and Ileana Almeida. The ethics, intellect, respectfulness, demeanor, propriety, fairness and ability of our judges is vital to the dispensation of justice in our Circuit; and input from Bar members and citizens with personal knowledge of the applicants is very important to the nomination process...continue to full post
