GUILTY!

 Gregg Rossman & Lindsay Entriken after the verdict The jury reached a verdict of guilt on charges of first degree murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery in the trial of Kino Bartholomew.  Deliberations started at roughly 1:45 PM, with the double buzzer sounding at 4:50 PM. ASA Gregg Rossman did a masterful job of convicting Bartholomew over the two week trial.  The evidence was largely circumstantial, and the shooters remain at large.  Defense attorney Ed Salantrie did the best he could despite some damning cell phone tower evidence and informant testimony, noting for appellate purposes that two of the jurors were crying during the jury poll (possibly indicating a "five o'clock verdict" problem).  Salantrie believes the case is coming back, citing "a whole host of great issues on appeal"...continue to full post
