Will Governor Crist ask for more names to be sent up to replace Judge Zack?We've heard the northern powers had anticipated Judge Zack's county court seat going to an African-American female.  Surprise, surprise, the local JNC sent up only one African-American, the decidedly male Mike Robinson.  Included in the list is one Ed Merrigan, tied at the hip to Jack Seiler and friends over at Seiler, Sautter, Zaden & Rimes. Richard Zaden, of course, is a JNC member.If JAABLOG commentator "Judge Merrigan?" is to be believed (under JAABLOG WELCOME on 2/18 @ 5:26 PM), Seiler and Merrigan were even seen palling around with the Governor this week over on the Galt Ocean Mile.  We wonder, is the Governor truly inclined to fix the gross disparity of only five African-American judges out of ninety in Broward County, or were his words merely lip service?  Will he ask for more names, including more African-Americans, as he recently did in other jurisdictions?  Or is it politics as usual in good old Broward after the appointment of Judge Gillespie?We're also hearing the two most famous Hurley's in the world may soon have competition...continue to full post
