By Levin & Perconti
An investigative report showed that a resident hit his head on the floor when he was being transferred from his wheelchair to his bed with a mechanical lift. The man?s death was due to the injuries from the fall. A report from the Health Department found evidence indicating nursing home neglect. The nursing assistants were not following proper procedures when it came to moving the resident. They both gave inconsistent statements regarding the nursing home negligence.
