From the vile Dick Cheney:

"He seems to think if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won't be at war," Cheney says. "He seems to think if we bring the mastermind of 9/11 to New York, give him a lawyer and trial in civilian court, we won't be at war."

You mean like when the Bush administration let the shoe bomber "lawyer up," brought him to Boston and gave him a lawyer and a trial in civilian court? Or when that same administration -- the one Cheney was de facto leader of -- did the same thing for 289 terrorism defendants in 119 separate civilian cases over the last 8 years?
