By Ed Brayton
I got to watch MSU's season opener against Idaho in basketball and came away feeling very good about this team. Yeah, it was Idaho and they're terrible. But I really liked what I saw. It was my first chance to see Delvon Roe play and there's no way they're going to be able to keep this guy out of the starting lineup for long. He's not going to be good, he's going to be great before he's done.
Roe was a top 10 recruit, but he missed his entire senior year with a knee injury after winning several national player of the year awards as a junior. Then this spring, he had a minor surgery on his other knee. Izzo says he's only about 65% right now and if the way he looked in this game was at 65%, I can't wait to see him at full strength. He made clear why North Carolina recruited him so hard.
