By Michael C. Smith

ADVERTISEMENTS

CAIL The third IP seminar a lot of Texas practitioners attend in the fall is the annual IP law conference at the Center for American and International Law in Plano, Texas.  The CAIL is a non-profit educational organization which since 1947 has served lawyers and law enforcement officials from 130 countries, and our firm is is pleased to be one of the sponsors for the annual IP law conference.

I drove up to Plano last night, and as the sun did actually come up this morning after last night's debacle in Green Bay, I decided I'd go ahead and attend the conference.  The morning's sessions dealt with patent litigation and the afternoon with trademark and copyright issues.  Tomorrow morning is dedicated to technology, licensing and IP rights, and patent prosecution in the afternoon.
