: Bernard MadoffAll In The Family Part 3

Dad:
Even though we both smiled when you insisted these documents were bulletproof, I'm now finding myself in a tight spot with Preet.
Sure, "dead men tell no lies" is a great line to use and it's a sure fire way to delay investigations into the next century, but here I am dealing with a bunch of key stone cops that want to be knocking on your door at 7 a.m. to ask you even more questions.
I've suggested to Preet that he should bring in a guy named Monk (his picture is below) to take over the investigation down in Palm Beach, but the FBI guys are saying that they want to handle it themselves. Talk about cluster-f--k's.
Adding to the confusion of the day, Irv Picard's office has been calling every ten minutes trying to get some answers about where SDNY last left off with Picower before he "left us".
So, whatever time you see a blue Mercury Marquis pull into your driveway, just make sure that you're in your in pajamas. As a matter of fact, start wearing your pajamas whenever you leave the house. Wear them to the office, wear them when you go to dinner. Wherever you go, just stay in your pajamas.
Also, I got April's message. Please have her tell Chuck that I can't join you guys for lunch on Wednesday. I'm aware that he has several constituents that have donated heavily to his campaigns, but this isn't a good time for me to mingling at country clubs.
As a matter of fact, you might tell Chuck that its probably not a great idea for him to be mingling with some of those big machas. Manhattan is a small place, and people talk a lot.
