Picking Noses and Splitting Hairs

Irv-

From one "picker" to another, and contrary to what you and I have talked about, there isn't any "$7 billion treasure chest" buried someplace. Not in my backyard anyway.

The photo to the left was actually taken years ago, and it had nothing to do with Barbara and I "hiding" any loot; it was taken during a ground breaking ceremony for a $200 million medical facility that my wife and I provided the funds for.

The allegations that you've made in your "law suit" are nothing short of spurious. Why should I have been "suspicous" just because Bernie turned my initial investment of $100 million into more than $7 billion within a few years?

Its not like he's the only hedge fund manager on Wall Street that's delivered out-sized returns. Ask John Paulson. Ask Hank Paulson!! Making a few hundred percent over a few years is almost common place. Well, at least it was until a year or so ago.

And whatever "Dimes DiPascali" is telling you, well its simply not true. Do I look like I'm such a genius?? Or that I could have possibly had a hand in the shenanigans that Bernie and his crew were up to?

Maybe you should be asking Jamie Dimon why he pulled all of JPM's money out at the 11th hour, when schmucks like me still kept a few sheckels on deposit with Bernie.

Why wouldn't I have believed that Bernie had the Midas touch when it came to investing?? Jesus, Irv--just look at the history of the trade recommendations Bernie's posted right here over the past few months. He hasn't made one single bad call in months!

As far as your thinking that you're going to make yourself 3 points on recovering $7 billion from me, you're dreaming. I've got maybe a few hundred million in T-bills--at most. The "billions" that you're saying that I withdrew from my accounts at Bernie's shop have all gone to charitable programs. So if you want to make yourself a hero and put liens on hospitals, be my guest.

BTW- Barbara's 90 year-old aunt is still waiting for SIPC to pay off on her claim--she's one of the people that got suckered in by Bernie back in '91. What's going on over there, Irv??

Jeff
