: Thanks, But No Thanks.Wait...you want me to...work?
I don't really have a legitimate excuse, except "Trying to drive the length of the country sans internet" and also "isolated from other 1Ls, don't have many funny things to say."
However: I did come across this in my online ramblings- www.thingsmyboyfriendsays.com
I was thoroughly entertained, and now all you summer associates trying to smile pretty and look nice will have something to read come Monday morning.
Speaking of which: I started work with Dream Boss- came barrelling into town on Monday night, to start work on Tuesday morning, so I'm a little discombobulated still, and not a bit unpacked.
The Fellow Drones are quite amiable, so I'm sure we'll have a good time, however, working around a courtroom still fills me with a healthy mix of fear and fascination. Deep down, I know that there is some sort of dress/etiquette/behavioral code that everyone else has been clued into except me: I'm going to get outed one of these days for the kind of tremendous faux pas that is my wont. In the meantime, I'm pottering around on 'assignments' and trying to sit as still as possible when I'm in the line of sight of anyone important...it's all part of my clever disguise.
At any rate, the Write-On From Hell is still going (going...going...going...going...) and I'm still slogging away at it, so postings may be intermittent for another week or so. I'm at the Funky Midwestern CoffeeHouse, if you need me: look for the one with glasses and the perturbed frown.
No. The other one. Thats me.
Happy summer to all!
