Whew

My birthday was, in fact, phenomenal. I woke up and opened my lone birthday gift that didn't get opened early....thanks to Eddie & HASWOE for my fleur de lis bundt cake pan that I've had on my Christmas & Birthday list for 3 years running.... it now resides with my new deviled egg platter from PAG...... my mother informed that these two gifts couldn't be more perfect or scream "Southern/New Orleans" any more than they already do. I think it was Legal Lucy who said "You are in fact the oddest person I know. A deviled egg platter?" to which I said "But I love deviled eggs. Every lady should have a deviled egg platter." And then PAG and I winked at each other because, well, it was a perfect gift. Even if no other 25 year old in the entire United States actually desires deviled egg platters & fleur de lis bundt cake pans.

I then went off to Bar/Bri (well that wasn't the phenomenal part) where I ate a Happy Birthday Red Velvet Cupcake for breakfast compliments of The Artful Blogger who is in fact part of the Big City Blog Krewe, and the resident Krewe baker. They were delicious. After Bar/Bri I went to lunch with Scarlett & PAG, browsed at JCrew (bought a new navy dress...because I really need more dresses especially those of the navy variety....) and then went and got a deluxe spa pedicure where I indulged in a guilty pleasure of bridal magazines (so what if I'm not engaged?) and gossip magazines (so what if the life of Suri Cruise has no bearing on society whatsoever?) while I relaxed. I finally headed home and went out for an intimate dinner at a French bistro with BISMOW (hellooooo rack of lamb you are in fact my new best friend) and then met PAG, Arms, Scarlett, & the Namby Pamby for some after dinner cocktails. This morning I woke up horrifically hungover and regretting that last Stella vehemently. Tonight I am going to enjoy a delicious dinner at Table 52 where I fully plan on enjoying every last bite of Art Smith's famous Southern fried chicken.

What I didn't do this weekend?

Study for the bar exam.

Oh Monday. How I hate thee. But I will hate thee with deviled eggs & bundt cake & leftover red velvet cupcakes.
